Saving River Short Film

Saving River is my very first short film. When the pandemic hit and Waffle House and chevron and basically everywhere else shit down for months me and few other people got together and decided to make movies. We contacted other filmmakers in the US to see how to go about doing so. Two of the filmmakers Zane Hampton and Jordan Fries invited us make a short film based on a quarantine situation but not to use the pandemic so we decided since we wanted a zombie apocalypse and not a repeat of the Stand we came up with Saving River starring my ex husband and my now 3 year old daughter River. It’s about a family trying to escape the zombie apocolypse and they end up in a car crash and only the father and youngest child survive. The father gets bit when trying get his daughter out of the wreckage and now he has to save his daughter from himself on top of trying find a safe haven from the zombies.
